Meta's Twitter competitor, Threads, is set to launch on 6th July on iOS. There's even a countdown page, if you enjoy this sort of thing.
This comes at a particularly vulnerable time for Twitter as Elon Musk limits people from viewing tweets, unless they have an account and are logged in. He has also claimed that Twitter is a victim of AI companies scraping their data. As part of this move, he has also limited the number of posts a user can view per day.
However, web developer Sheldon Chang has suggested that this is because, in an act of epic self-own, Elon Musk's Twitter is conducting a DDOS attack on itself. Hence the need to limit traffic.
