Nintendo Switch successor rumoured launched date

The rumoured Nintendo Switch successor, called the Switch 2 because no one knows its official name, was rumoured to be launched in 2024, is now rumoured to be pushed back to 2025.

According to multiple sources, Nintendo has advised games publishers that the date is pushed to Q1 2025. It is speculated that they are strengthening the line-up of games at launched. One of which is rumoured to be Metroid Prime 4.

Yes, I used the word "rumoured" so many times because none of the news was officially confirmed by Nintendo itself.

Given the incredible strength of the current Switch console, this is unlikely to materially harm Nintendo's results for 2024. Although we have to accept that revenues and profits will continue to trend down from prior years.
